*Thanks to Permuted Press for giving me an ARC of this book. This does not influence my review and all opinions and feelings are my own.
What if you were the only person left? What if among thousands of living-but-not-conscious people, you were the only sane one? Yet? The author takes this question and sculpts into a novel full of willpower, fear, action and a young mother’s feelings.
By the end of the first chapter, I was intrigued. The writing was very detailed, each scene elaborately described. Although, sometimes the details were more overwhelming than the state of the situation. This provoked temptation to skip over some sentences.
One thing I liked was how everything clicked into place at the right moment. Not too early, not too late. The resolutions were a little confusing but realistic, and very interesting. The ending was nicely placed, too.
I probably won’t read this book again, as the suspense has already passed, but I definitely recommend it to everyone, especially people who like science fiction. This book is a perfect blend of that and a little fear. Not a horror story, but one that will leave you wondering.
I have enjoyed this book. Now, it’s up to you to find out for yourself- Can one strong-willed woman save her children, her husband and the world?
